Ever since the pre-order bonuses were originally announced,we’ve been wondering if/when the purely digital ones would show up on the PlayStation Store. Now that they have, some eBay prices for those items seem a little excessive: I wouldn’t be surprised to see this auction end without a buyer. [...] [Update:This Japanese blog entry seems to disagree about the Japanese sales vs GTA4,at least for the first day of sales. I'll admit a low level of reading comprehension;is this simply an online vs in-store sales difference?] Gamasutra watches the Amazon sales charts as closely as I do,and has good tidings this [...] As the release date gets closer and closer,we caught up with a few more local sackpeople to ask about their pre-order experiences. Princess Sackgirl is a sucker for the Nariko costume,so she went into Best Buy and put $5 down on the game. Dragon Mask Sackboy had to visit a few [...] Just in case you missed it: Media Molecule announced that LittleBigPlanet has gone gold,gifting us a cool sackboy spaceman pic. Then the official PlayStation Blog spilled the beans on a sackboy spacesuit available at launch,as well as “first week”t-shirt. Certainly these elite items will have the intended effect of spurring on more [...] With a game like LittleBigPlanet,educating people is a major hurdle. Most of the games press seem to understand now,with notable exceptions,so it seems we’re on to the retailers. Unfortunately,this is more of an uphill battle,as my attempts to pre-order successfully have shown me. So it’s good to see that SCEA [...] With only a couple of months before release,everyone’s starting to pre-order LittleBigPlanet. Over on Amazon,it’s risen pretty high in the list of PS3 bestsellers (at the time I’m writing this,Star Wars:The Force Unleashed is the only unreleased PS3 game beating it) (It’s also in the top ten on Japanese Amazon,and [...] Looks like Wal-Mart has an exclusive trailer to encourage pre-orders there as well. With even more camera angle goodness. And ghosts,and a skateboard passenger,and rolling the orange and football across a bridge,and… Unfortunately,they do have the game in their database as “Little Big Planet”,and the URL for the trailer implies [...] Some great new footage (and nice music) in an “Amazon.com Exclusive Video”trying to get us to pre-order there (although I don’t see anything telling us which pre-order gift we can expect). Best part? Sackboy’s pole-walking abilities appear to still be present. [...] Trying to decide where in North America to pre-order LittleBigPlanet? PlayStation.Blog teases us with the pre-order goodies that will be available;but of course they don’t say which retailer will have which goodies yet.
