First,a company representative at a trade show says something: They wouldn’t talk specifics,but said they’re partnering with other companies to bring third-party themed content into LittleBigPlanet. The Sony rep mentioned Disney,for example –being careful to note that it was just an example –as a [...] Lots to report,before anything starts coming in from PAX: First of all,the LittleBigPlanet News Site is showing off the official boxart for the USA [thanks Brian!]. I can’t decide whether I like the UK packaging better or not. I like the USA crowd better than just showing two Sackboys,but the use [...] First of all,if you haven’t yet,go take a look at Media Molecule’s Leipzig photos. Simply amazing. And to those who ask “What about lighting? Can we make dark levels?”,you might spy an answer in this image. [...] First there was a blurb on CVG that user-generated levels in LittleBigPlanet would be segregated by region. And the internet exploded in rage. Then PS3Fanboy expressed their concern,as they had heard something different. And the internet continued to explode in rage and confusion and speculation. Now our good friend Sam Protagonist (Hi Sam!) has [...] I promised myself that I wouldn’t do any more of these mega-posts. But with a ridiculous backlog,and the Leipzig Games Convention looming,it’s clear that I was lying. [...] When GameDaily included LittleBigPlanet in their list of “Games That Will Probably Suck”,the community responded quite strongly. Ripten even went as far as to post a rebuttal. GameDaily’s comments come off as extraordinarily uninformed,apparently based upon only watching the Sony E3 Press Conference. I’m frankly a little surprised,given GameDaily’s previously positive coverage. [...] Ever since its first showing,a lot of us have felt the strong musical vibe of LittleBigPlanet. Many gamers became overnight fans of The Go! Team,or Battles,or Jim Noir after the release of a new LittleBigPlanet trailer. Others have more exotic musical tastes to share with the world.
