One day,Sackboy’s parents said it was time to go on summer vacation. Sackboy did not want to go. Sackboy wanted to stay home and play video games and eat candy. Sackboy’s parents told him that he would enjoy the vacation. But Sackboy wasn’t sure.

They flew on a big airplane to a big town called Paris. But they were actually going to Brussels,so they needed to take the train. “Why didn’t we fly to Brussels?”,asked Sackboy.
Sackboy liked riding the Metro from the airport to the big train station. He saw lots of nice people every time they stopped.

But he liked the big fast train even better. They had really good food on the big train. But Sackboy started looking out the window and forgot to eat!

In Brussels,Sackboy went to the Musical Instruments Museum. He saw all sorts of instruments, even some that played themselves! When they were almost to the top floor,he looked out of the window.
From the window,he could see all over Brussels. He wondered if all of the fancy buildings were full of music like this one.

Later that day,Sackboy went to the Atomium. The Atomium looked like a big molecule, which was oddly familiar to Sackboy.
Sackboy liked being inside the Atomium. Sackboy’s parents said it was 50 years old,but it looked shiny and new to Sackboy.

The next day,Sackboy walked around Brussels. It was a lot bigger than his home town. Then Sackboy saw lots of people taking pictures of a statue of a little boy.
The boy was almost as small as Sackboy, but not quite. “Take a picture of me!”,yelled Sackboy. But only his parents took a picture of him.

Sackboy’s parents took him back to Paris. They wanted to take him to the park. It was a big park, called Champs de Mars.
Sackboy found some fun statues to play with. Sackboy asked the little boy if he knew the boy in Brussels, but the statue did not answer. Sackboy did not bother to ask about the hat.

Sackboy then went to a big tower at the end of the park by the river.
Sackboy saw that it was very tall. Sackboy felt very small.

Sackboy found a big old building. Sackboy’s parents called it Les Invalides. But it looked perfectly valid to Sackboy.
At first,Sackboy was scared of the crowds, and hid against a wall. But later,Sackboy found a good spot to bask in the sunlight where no one could step on him.

Sackboy liked statues,so his parents took him to the Rodin Museum. There were lots of statues and sculptures there for Sackboy to be friends with.
Sackboy was especially fond of Claude Lorrain. But then he found a sculpture of someone named “Lady Sackville”. He was so happy to find a relative, but Lady Sackville did not look very much like Sackboy.

The next day,Sackboy asked his parents to see more statues. So they went to the Musée du Louvre.
Sackboy was really impressed by the Winged Victory of Samothrace. He was sure that she must have had a Sackgirl head before it fell off. Sackboy had fun showing off, balancing on his stomach under the inverted pyramid. Sackboy thought it was great, but only his parents took a picture.

After the Louvre,Sackboy wanted to see something new.
So Sackboy went to see a big fancy arch with a tent in it.

Then Sackboy was tired. He went into a fancy bar to relax.
At first,he was lonely by himself on a big bench. But then,he found some friends to play with. Hooray for friends!

After relaxing at the bar,Sackboy was ready for more adventure.
Sackboy went to the Arc de Triomphe. He climbed all of the stairs,up to the very top. It was scary, but he liked looking at Paris from way up high.

The next day,Sackboy went to an aquarium. He had trouble finding a seat. They were all too big! But Sackboy really liked seeing the fish behind the glass.

When he had to leave Paris,Sackboy was sad. He liked it there. And he liked the hotel very much.
Sackboy’s parents said “Maybe we will come back some day”. That made Sackboy happy.

Sackboy and his parents got onto another big plane and flew home.
At home,Sackboy’s parents asked what he liked best about his vacation. “Smarties!”,said Sackboy.
